Saddlebrook - Palmer ~ 0.1 miles (Not Driving Distance)
The par-70 Palmer Course at Saddlebrook plays much longer than it's 6,469 yards. With water on 17 of the 18 holes, players find themselves thinking their way around this Arnold Palmer design. The par-five, fourth hole is a perfect example with water on the right and out of bounds on the left off the tee. The second shot doesn't get any easier with trees lining both sides of the fairway. Finally, an elevated and well-trapped green awaits your third shot as you attempt to reach the green in regulation. Overall, you'll find the Palmer Course to provide an enjoyable day of golf with rolling fair... more info.
Saddlebrook ~ 0.1 miles (Not Driving Distance)
The Saddlebrook Course was originally designed by Dean Refram in 1976. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay redesigned the course when building the Palmer Course in 1986. The Saddlebrook Course provides a longer challenge than the Palmer with tighter, tree-lined fairways. Just like the Palmer, you'll find water on 17 of the 18 holes. The course is well-known for its finishing hole, a tough par four with a difficult second shot over a substantial water hazard to a vvery undulating green. Make four here and it will bring you back for more!... more info.
TPC Tampa Bay ~ 13.86 miles (Not Driving Distance)
The TPC of Tampa Bay is the annual host of the Outback Steakhouse Pro-am, a Champions Tour event. Designed by architect Bobby Weed and PGA Tour Design Services, this track is "stadium golf" at its best with man-made mounds bordering most fairways and greens. The course is perfectly maintained from tee to green and features dramatically undulating greens and water on 14 holes. The TPC facility also features a magnificent 12,000-sq-ft clubhouse overlooking the exhilarating finishing hole. Located just 25 minutes north of Tampa airport area, the TPC is a great choice for your day of departure. "... more info.
Southern Hills Plantation ~ 18.96 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Southern Hills invites you to preview their distinctively different course, the only private Pete Dye course in the Tampa area. The terrain is unlike that of any other, with elevations of 60' to nearly 250' and yardages from 5205 to 7557. This phenomenal course opened in early 2006 to rave member reviews. Golfweek has named Southern Hills "One of the Top 50 New Courses in the United States" and "One of the Top 100 Residential Courses in the United States". Take advantage of this limited opportunity to play one of Florida's best. It promises to be a golf experience that is not soon forgotten! ... more info.
Westchase Golf Club ~ 22.19 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Tight, tough, and immaculate: that's the reputation Westchase has earned. The front side offers a tree-lined Carolina look as it winds through an extensive pine forest. The back nine features water hazards galore, with numerous lakes and wetlands. You'll appreciate the newly renovated putting surfaces. Complementing the great layout is a newly renovated clubhouse with panoramic views of the course. Located near Tampa airport, Westchase is a "must-play" for first day, last day, or any day!... more info.
World Woods Golf Club - Pine Barrens ~ 30.97 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Intimidating. Enjoyable. These two words don't often go hand in hand, but they accurately describe the Pine Barrens course at World Woods. Ranked #26 on Golfweek's list of "America's Best Modern Courses for 2006," this Tom Fazio design has been receiving accolades since it opened in 1991. It's perennially ranked among the nation's top courses by Golf Digest and has been called "Florida's Pine Valley." The course features large fairways framed by expansive waste bunkers and towering pines (hence the comparisons to Pine Valley).... more info.
